Lynden Doors are manufactured according to the highest standards of quality and are certified by Quality Auditing Institute for energy performance with a U-value of 0.83 W / m²*K (0.15 = Btu / hr*ft²*F). Lynden Door offers a full line of fire-rated doors certified by Warnock Hersey as a listed 20 minute rated fire door (UL10C). Energy Conservation

Your door is a key component in your entrance system, including quality fitted frame, threshold and weatherstripping. All Lynden Door 1 ¾" door slabs are rated R12.

Thermal Performance

Wide wood stiles and rails separate the steels skins and provide a thermal break to virtually eliminate condensation and heat transfer even in severe weather conditions.

Health

Lynden Doors are a healthful choice. Weuse all no added urea formaldehyde (NAUF) components.

Durability

Lynden Door offers the thickest insulated steel door skins available. 0.0220" true 24 gauge steel skins provide better resistance to dents and warping. Hot dipped galvanized steel and a bakedon high quality polyester primer provide an excellent surface for all finish coat applications. Durability ranks first among Green Building Attributes.

Security

Our 16" internal lock-block allows for added security - a rugged platform for mounting deadbolts and hardware. ProTek® Security Stiles are available as an optional upgrade on all our doors. Exceptional strength and protection (see sidebar).

Lynden Door Canada warrants that, from the date of installation, (a) the door will be free of manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for a period of ten (10) years; and (b) our steel doors will not warp, crack or buckle under normal use during the period of the warranty (for full terms and conditions, please refer to warranty document available from your Lynden Door distributor or online at www.lyndendoorcanada.com.

Your Lynden Door is primed with a very durable polyester paint primer. We recommend that you apply a final coat, either to match your house, or a finish coat of a white of your choice to give lasting protection of your investment. Do not use dark coloured paint as sun exposure can cause excessive heat build-up (may void warranty). We suggest the following procedure;

1. Wipe the door surface with mineral spirits or denatured alcohol to remove all surface contaminants.
2. Sand the entire painted surface lightly with 220 grit sandpaper.
3. Wipe the door surface a second time, as in Step 1.
4. Wipe door surface with a tack cloth.
5. Paint the door with a good quality Alkyd or an oil base exterior paint. Use a good quality brush or dense foam roller. A paint sprayer works well also if space and conditions allow. Paint both sides and all four edges.
6. Painting the door on the flat using sawhorses prevents the paint from running and

IMPORTANT: Be certain the surface to be painted is dry and both the surface and paint approximately 19 degrees Celsius.
